How might you use Flickr for schoolwork, in your personal life or professional setting? Its a nice easy place to get pictures for projects, share your personal photos for others to use and even share professional work for others to view in case of jobs that you might be wanting to get.
Do you use Flickr or another photo hosting service? Which one? How does it compare to Flickr? I use Flickr
How do you feel about having your photos public (note that you can mark your Flickr photos private, too)--any concerns? I don't mind, I like sharing my work, it makes me feel useful and that maybe I helped someone get a good grade. I don't have any concerns.

THING 8
What did you find interesting about the wiki concept? Its a nice way for people to edit information on a page if it is wrong, it feels more accessable and personal.
What types of applications within schools and professional organizations might work well with a wiki? probably just the school in general. people can add or delete information that students may post.
Many teachers/faculty "ban" Wikipedia as a source for student research. What do you think of the practice of limiting information by format? I think that it should be allowed as a resource although some pages may be less accurate than most, the people of wikipedia weed out the information that is not real or credible. I feel like it is a very good source.

Thing 6
1. How can you use Digg to collect research for your next report or design project? You can use it to help you research for a topic that would be more student and kids our age oriented and take advantage of the resources there because they only have news that is wanted by their users.
2. How can you use Digg to establish your reputation and credibility? It can help by making sure you are using credible sources and you could even help try and promote yourself on the site.
3. How can you connect your other social media circles to Digg and increase your popularity? You can post funny things or just normal things from Digg on your twitter account.
4. Reddit is using Twitter. Discuss what combining the experience means to you in terms of saving your oh so "precious time"? It could save you time because you can just get the updates on your twitter so you dont have to go to the website.
5. How can you ensure that information on an open source website like Reddit is credible? Look for citations or even just a source that it came from, even an author.
6. Who's crazier; old shaggy-haired Kate or the "new" Kate with the 80's sk8er punk haircut? New Kate, the popularity and money for the show made her into a soul less person who doesnt care to much about reality anymore, I think she got a reality check when the divorce happened.
7. Have you ever seen a photograph of Jon Gosselin when he wasn't wearing an Ed Hardy shirt? Is that all he owns or what? Jon Gosselin is a shameless man so I totally understand why he decides to wear that craptastic brand, it is an abomination to the world along with Nickleback, Creed and Keanu Reeves.

Thing 5
This was another easy one to bypass, I have had a Twitter as well for sometime now. I absolutely LOVE Twitter. Its so addicting and so glad I got past my thoughts of how dumb it looked, its a nice way to blow off some steam and my favorite part is the text updates. Whenever me and my friends are in the same room and someone tweets its funny to see the whole room love at their phones at the same time.
1. Which social journal did you choose? Why? I chose Twitter, for the simple fact that I have already had Twitter for awhile now.
2. What is unique about the online journaling experience? Its a nice way to put out a feeling you are having or a funny moment you witnessed and its easily accessable to your friends because of the text notifications and applications for phones.
3. Can you see this having some application to school work or professional development? Very much so, there are a lot of businesses that use it to help promote new promotions or just the company in general, bands use it to help promote shows and market new music. Its an easy way for fans to keep up with the latest news of their favorite people.
4. What are some ways that these tools could be used for evil, instead of good? It can most def help tear people down because you don't need to have a profile that explains much about you. I have already come across some of this.

Social Media
So this was a VERY easy step to pass, I have had a facebook since about 2006 back when you had to be invited! I also weirdly enough have a Myspace, but I never use that. I find these as nice tools to stay connected with people at home.
1. Now that you have a profile on Facebook or MySpace, how will you share information about yourself to meet other students at Ai and start to build your network?
2. Keeping in mind that employers use social networks as a recruiting tool, how will you use Facebook or MySpace to promote yourself to potential employers? I will only put up items and things that would not be a nail in the coffin to my career. I have already started to fix and change my profile and even change my security so that my profile is less available.
3. How will you use Facebook or MySpace to build your professional network? I will put up examples of my work to perhaps gain followers and fans to help spread word of mouth about me.
4. What interests and personal details will you share with your circle? All of what I believe is common knowledge and nothing more than what I would share in a normal setting.
5. How is professional networking different from social networking? professional networking helps further along a career and help make contacts to gain clients and such, social networking is kind of the same thing except it is also used for personal use and not just professional, it can help you stay connected with people you might have lost contact with.

I just emailed the 16 things email address...except I emailed it with my personal email cuz I totally forgot my student email and portal stuff again.. hopefully its fine.
1. What about My Ai Campus.com seems interesting or useful to you? You can do so much, its very useful because you can figure out any questions you have and its even very helpful because you can schedule yourself on there as well.
2. Why is this such a great resource for students here at Ai? You can check grades, email, and schedule yourself. It is a very helpful tool.
3. What specific resources do you find useful or helpful? That I can check my progress and grades.
4. Did you have any problems accessing your student portal account or other services in this Thing? If you say "no" you're either a liar or you did something wrong. Do it again! I did forget my name and password a few times but after some deduction I figured them out.
